THEATRE ROYAL DRURY LANE LAUNCHES NEW SUMMER ROOF TERRACE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH NAKED WINES

Theatre Royal Drury Lane presents The Naked Wines Terrace at The Lane. A summer roof terrace like no other – perfectly positioned overlooking the hustle and bustle of Covent Garden, and a haven to unwind, soak up the sunshine, sip on an exclusive selection from Naked Wines – many of which are only available to try at LW venues – and enjoy a brand-new menu for weekend brunch, sharing boards and light bites.

For the first time ever, enjoy a delicious and varied brunch menu from The Lane who will be serving up classics alongside contemporary dishes. The Lane is a truly unique London venue, and with this new menu offering, is the first ever theatre to offer brunch on their central London rooftop, enjoying views across theatreland.
Open daily until late, The Naked Wines Terrace at The Lane also offers refreshing cocktails, champagne, and food options, creating the perfect alfresco experience in the heart of London’s West End.

The delicious new weekend brunch menu is on offer from 10am-1pm, on Saturday and Sunday – and during May half term week, from Wednesday through to Sunday – and includes mouth-watering classic and contemporary dishes including; crispy waffle, maple syrup and lime creme fraiche with London Cured smoked salmon or crispy bacon toppings; Cornish yoghurt with summer berries, pecan granola and London’s bee honey; Evesham asparagus and poached eggs topped with truffle dressing among others, or the now iconic smashed avocado, sourdough served with poached eggs.

The Naked Wines Terrace menu also offers a delectable selection of nibbles, light bites and sharing boards daily from 12pm-9pm. Delicious sharing boards include the Terrace Meat Board with hand carved honey roast ham, pork pie, and chicken liver parfait; the Raw Board with fennel, radish, carrot, cucumber, and roasted tomato hummus; and the Cheeseboard with Oxford blue, Montgomery cheddar, Tunworth and quince paste. All boards come with artesian crackers and sourdough. There is also a Sweet Board that includes banana bread with salted caramel sauce and clotted cream and strawberries with whipped vanilla cream, in perfect time for Wimbledon fans. All served on unique, limited-edition cheeseboards that are crafted from the original 101-year-old stage floor during the restoration of Theatre Royal Lane, which are available to purchase at the venue.

The Naked Wines Terrace will be serving three premium wines exclusively at LW Theatres, so The Lane is the only place to try these wines outside of a performance in a show bar. The signature white wine is the Herencia Altes La Imprudent, which comes with aromas of fresh melon, juicy pears, and a refreshing citrus finish. The red on offer is a Côtes du Rhône, Benjamin Darnault which is rich, silky smooth and full of cherries, strawberries, and raspberries. Finally, the spotlight rosé is a Domaine St. Jean, Terre des Hospitaliers which is crisp and refreshing with hints of raspberries, redcurrants, and apples. Each wine is available in 175ml, 250ml and by the bottle. Make sure you don’t miss trying these delightful and flavoursome wines, exclusive to The Lane’s Naked Wines Terrace this summer.

There are also a wide range of cocktails and signature serves. Soak in the sun with a lively No.3 Classic – No.3 Gin, Franklin & Sons Indian Tonic with fragrant rosemary and zesty grapefruit, or try The Prince’s Punch made with No. 3 Gin, Yellow Chartreuse, touches of peppermint, lime, agave, topped with Franklin & Sons Soda Water and for a no-alcohol option, The King’s Punch is one of the best 0% alcohol offerings made with the bittersweet Everleaf Forest, cranberry, and a delicate citrusy combination of bergamot and lemon.
