From her bedroom setup, 20-year-old Asal infuses deep raw vocals with alternative hip-hop production to create her original sound. Quickly building her momentum, Asal has found herself touring North America supporting UK producer Artemas and on the main stage at EDC Vegas with MK promoting their collaborative track, “She’s in The Club”. Heading for her first headline show in London’s O2 Islington Academy 2 on Thurs 12 September, Asal is building her own world and pushing the boundaries of alternative music. Growing up in Iran, Asal was raised in a musical household. Her mom sang, dad played the keyboard and Asal got a guitar for her 7th birthday. Asal moved to Vancouver only speaking Farsi and mostly listening to Persian music. Picking up English from school and being exposed to new music, Asal started to make music and develop her unique sound. With a debut EP in the works, Asal has just released her latest single ‘Outside’ which is available to stream here.
