Free Business Talent Workshop Kicks Off Employer Support At The West London Retail Skills Hub
A free talent workshop promises to give businesses across West London on-the-spot help and recommendations to attract new recruits and improve their recruitment processes in just one session.
The Employer Standards Workshop, will take place in the new first-of-its-kind West London Retail Skills Hub in Westfield London on Wednesday 24 July, 3-6pm, and will be delivered by the West London Careers Hub team, and national and local employers, including Berkeley Group, and Flannery Plant Hire.
Attendees will learn about how industry-leading organisations have benefited from utilising the Employer Standard, which was developed by the Careers & Enterprise Company in collaboration with businesses across a breadth of industry sectors such as Tesco, PwC, Barclays and Business in the Community. Businesses will leave with insights on how the Employer Standards help foster loyalty, positive reputation and increase the flow of next generation talent to your organisation. This workshop is ideal for businesses on an ESG (environment, social and governance) journey, wishing to focus on improving their recruitment and processes.
This employer workshop will be the first to take place in the new dedicated skills hub space located in the heart of Westfield London, White City, with an entrance next door to John Lewis & Partners.
Speaking about the workshop, Jags Sanghera, Head of Community Engagement, Berkeley Group, explains: “We are based across West London and beyond, and are excited by the fact that events like this at the West London Retail Skills Hub will tap into and create a wider talent pool for businesses right across West London now and into the future as the retail landscape evolves. London is full of untapped talent, and this Skills Hub and events there will make it easier for great businesses to connect with potential employees. I can see that this skills hub initiative could be hugely beneficial right across the UK too, so I do hope other areas follow this example.”
