Expansion to North London BTR residential development launching in September

The UK’s largest listed residential landlord, Grainger plc, has announced the expansion of its North London rental offering with the launch of 65 new apartments across two buildings within the existing Hale Wharf Estate.

Windlass Apartments launched in 2021 with 108 rental homes and has since enjoyed consistent occupancy levels in line with Grainger’s wider portfolio of c.98%, prompting demand for a second phase of the development.

Delivered in partnership with Waterside Places, phase two of the build-to-rent development will create an additional 65 furnished rental homes with access to a range of resident amenities.

Named to celebrate the surrounding waterside area, a Windlass has multiple nautical connotations, from being used on boats to raise an anchor or as a handle to open locks on the UK’s waterways, the new Windlass Apartments will feature interior design elements influenced by this.

Ideally located close to Tottenham Hale Station, the development provides great transport links to Central London via the Victoria tube line or Tottenham Hale overground.

Uniquely positioned between the River Lee Navigation Canal and the Walthamstow Wetlands, residents will also benefit from a range of local leisure and retail amenities, with a great mix of greenery and waterside views.

Residents of phase two at Windlass Apartments will have access to a range of amenities including a resident’s lounge, private dining room – perfect for hosting friends, family or events, flexible co-working space and fully equipped gym/wellness studio, with amenity spaces available for private booking.

As with all Grainger developments, the in-house Resident Services Team will provide dedicated onsite management, helping with all resident enquiries and supporting in the creation of a community within the building with a full roster of regular resident events.

This latest development further strengthens Grainger’s North London operational cluster, creating a total of 423 homes, with a total of 2,230 homes across the Capital.
