RESIDENTS AT LOCAL CARE HOME ENTER A TARDIS OF INFORMATION WITH A TALK ON DR WHO

Residents and guests at Pittsmead Grange Care Home in Hayes enjoyed an afternoon talk on all things Dr.Who presented by Egyptologist, Classicist and Cultural Historian John J. Johnston.

John lectures throughout the UK at institutions such as the British Film Institute, the British Museum and the Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology. He thoroughly enjoys Dr Who so found it a pleasure to talk in detail on the subject.

The residents enjoyed every moment with one saying how they have been a huge Dr Who fan for years.
They followed their talk with a viewing of “City of Death”, which is widely regarded by fans as a classic of the Tom Baker era of “Doctor Who” and the best script produced by the Williams / Adams production team.

The hospitality team at the home provided a spread of sweet and savoury treats for guests to enjoy during the show.

General Manager, John Cunningham said, “Our residents and guests had a wonderful afternoon. We do our best to provide a wide range of activities and entertainment at Pittsmead Grange as part of the lifestyle enrichment programme for residents, and this was one was one of our favourites.”
