Shaping the Future of Healthcare at the 2024 amii Health & Wellbeing Summit

The Association of Medical Insurers and Intermediaries (amii) has unveiled the agenda for its Autumn 2024 Health & Wellbeing Summit.

Set to take place on the 14th of November at the Institute of Chartered Engineers in London, the amii 2024 Health & Wellbeing Summit is expected to be another successful event, bringing together industry leaders for a day of innovation and insights on how to shape the future of healthcare.

Filled with exciting topics, attendees can expect to be part of incredible discussions, including healthcare challenges, AI’s impact on health, private healthcare economics, updates on compliance, and PHIN’s role in the industry.

Amii also welcomes former Premier League and International footballer, Paul McVeigh, to deliver a session on the power of mindset and performance. Drawing from his unique experiences, Paul will explore the importance of mindset and its profound influence on both our personal and professional lives and showcase strategies to elevate performance across all aspects of life.

Professor Gordon Wishart, Founder & Chief Medical Officer of Check4Cancer, will deliver a session on “The current challenges with cancer provision and navigating your way out of the perfect storm”, and promises to offer valuable insights and strategies for tackling this critical area of healthcare.

Also confirmed for the day is Yasmin Greenaway FRSA, Founder and CEO of Dermi.Ai, who will explore “AI’s Influence on Health and Wellbeing: Present Realities and Future Prospects.”, showcasing the transformative potential of AI in our industry.

Claire Ginnelly, Executive Vice Chair of amii, will be leading a panel discussion, including Lindsay Davis from Bupa, Paula Coffey from UNUM, Adrian Nye from Aviva Health & Protection, Kelly Morris from Axa Health and Dr. Katie Tryon from Vitality. This session on “the economic landscape, including its ripple effects on private healthcare” promises to be an expert analysis in navigating the complex interplay between economics and healthcare.

Managing Director of UKGI Compliance, Nikki Bennett, will deliver an important update on compliance issues, including the FCA’s published findings on the Consumer Duty price and value outcome.

Dr. Ian Gargan, Chief Executive of Private Healthcare Information Network (PHIN), will shed light on PHIN’s vital role in the industry. His presentation will offer clarity on how PHIN’s work can benefit business and their clients, potentially opening new avenues for service improvement and client satisfaction.
