Beauchamp Appoints New Lettings Manager at St John’s Wood office
Leading Ultra-Prime Central London estate agent Beauchamp Estates has appointed the highly experienced rentals specialist Ziad Hijazi as Lettings Manager (St John’s Wood), based at the agency’s office on St John’s Wood High Street.
Ziad Hijazi’s new role includes managing Ultra-Prime and Prime rentals for clients of the internationally renowned boutique agency in the exclusive St John’s Wood neighbourhood, as well as across neighbouring Prime Central London enclaves such as Marylebone, Hampstead, Regent’s Park, Little Venice and Maida Vale.
Hijazi will also be building on and expanding Beauchamp Estates’ portfolio of core lettings properties in these areas, ensuring the agency is representing the best rental homes across the entire market. At the same time, he will be advising homeowners who prefer to discreetly let out their home off market, and also source and manage short-term rentals, in high demand from relocating families and those working in the film industry.
He joins the company from the Residential Lettings department at Savills, where he worked between 2022 and 2024, the last 15 months as an Assistant Manager in the St John’s Wood office; before that, between 2016 and 2022, he held the title of Associate Lettings Negotiator at Foxtons, overseeing Prime North London rentals.
Hijazi brings to his new role as Letting Manager (St John’s Wood) at Beauchamp Estates a strong track record in negotiation and client liaison, known for devising tailored strategies to effectively showcase properties and achieve maximum returns. Significant lettings deals over his career include an immaculately restored nine-bedroom mansion with subterranean leisure suite in Kenwood, on the edge of Hampstead Heath, for £8,500 per week; a Hampstead home of ambassadorial proportions, made up of multiple properties, each of which he has rented several times, for sums between £3,000 and £7,000 a week; and a modernised five-bedroom Victorian house, in St John’s Wood, for £3,750 per week.
Hijazi is already blazing a trail at Beauchamp Estates, with one of his most recent successes securing the letting of a beautifully refurbished two-bedroom two-bathroom apartment, exceeding the asking price of £1,385 per week, after only a week on the market. Among the world-leading agency’s current lettings portfolio, he is overseeing a magnificent Grade I Listed 6,602sq.ft. Regency residence on Hanover Terrace, overlooking Regent’s Park, available for £15,000 per week.
Hijazi will be working closely with Beauchamp Estates’ Founding Director, Gary Hersham, and Jeremy Gee, Managing Director, alongside a hand-picked team including Rosy Khalastchy, Laura Hutton and Chris Tinkler. As many of the estate agent’s globally affluent clients own a portfolio of Prime Central London properties, Hijazi, a fluent Arabic speaker, will also liaise regularly with the sales and rentals team in the firm’s Mayfair office, ensuring the needs of their British and overseas clients are met.
Hijazi joins Beauchamp Estates as Lettings Manager (St John’s Wood) at a particularly exciting time for the North West London rental market. In the agency’s recent Super Prime Lettings Report, it revealed that this top tier of the rental market has returned to pre-Covid levels, but in some cases “super-renters” are now eschewing the traditional choice of apartment living in Mayfair, Belgravia, Knightsbridge and Kensington, and instead choosing locales such as St John’s Wood and Hampstead.
Here, they can find large family houses with private gardens, home-working spaces and, within the raft of prestigious new apartment developments, access to five-star hotel-style amenities such as pools, gyms and spas.
When Hijazi is not busy bringing on new instructions, setting lettings records and expanding his impressive “little black book” of contacts, he is a keen football player, and loves to travel, particularly in Africa and the Middle East. With a strong social conscience, he has volunteered in Freetown, in Sierra Leone, distributing food and clean water to families, and run the Vitality North London race, to raise money for Making the Leap, which helps young people from disadvantaged backgrounds gain life and employment place skills.
Ziad Hijazi, Lettings Manager (St John’s Wood) at Beauchamp Estates says: “Beauchamp Estates is the market leader in Prime Central London lettings, with fantastic properties both on and off market and an extraordinary global reach, so I’m thrilled to take the next step up in my career with them. I’m looking forward to working with their established clientele, bringing on new Prime and Super Prime instructions, while also expanding their core offering, ensuring these properties are the finest in their sector. As the lettings market in St John’s Wood and neighbouring enclaves continues to go from strength to strength, it’s a truly exciting time.”
Gary Hersham, Founding Director of Beauchamp Estates says: “As Beauchamp Estates continues to expand its impressive rental portfolio, we are delighted to welcome Ziad Hijazi as Lettings Manager (St John’s Wood). With a proven track record in the Prime Central London lettings market, he brings with him excellent contacts, strong negotiating skills and a deep understanding of how to match the perfect tenant to a property, whether long term or short. As North West London becomes a new rental deals hot spot, growing in popularity with some of London’s wealthiest landlords and renters, Ziad’s in depth knowledge and skills will be particularly invaluable.”
Founded in 1979 Beauchamp Estates has grown to become a multi-national firm and a global leader in Ultra-Prime property.
