Akira Back, the recently opened restaurant at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London has launched a brand new Express Menu, aiming to give hungry workers a fabulous dining experience, while also guaranteeing guests to dine and pay within 40 minutes.

Offering a curated selection of Bento Boxes and Donburi bowls, along with an array of Akira Back’s iconic dishes, the new lunches are under £50 per person.

Choose from three types of Bento Boxes, including the classic Bento (Tataki salad, selection of sushi & maki roll, miso black cod, prawn & vegetable tempura, yuzu soy mushrooms, rice), the Mayfair Bento (Selection of sashimi, sushi & signature maki roll, Jidori chicken, rock shrimp, yuzu soy vegetables, rice) or the Vegetarian/Vegan Bento(Creamy spinach salad, vegetable sushi & maki roll, crispy tofu, nasu den, yuzu soy mushrooms, rice), each available for £48.

Four different types of Donburi are also on offer: Chirashi Ju (premium sashimi on sushi rice, £39), Tempura Ju (tiger prawn & vegetable tempura, £27), Bibimbap(Gochujang, soft egg £25) and Wagyu Don (A5 Wagyu striploin, braised short rib, foie gras, truffle soy and soft egg, £48).

Each Bento Box and Donburi Bowl is also accompanied with a Miso Soup.

Additionally, a range of iconic hot and cold Akira Back classics will remain on offer, served within 40 minutes. Try the Tuna Pizza with umami aioli, shiso, truffle oil and fresh black truffle, or the Devon Crab Salad with mustard miso dressing. Hot dishes include the Akira Back Tacos with wagyu bulgogi and roasted tomato ponzu, Rock Shrimp with creamy gochujang, crispy mushroom and chives, and the Miso Yaki Udon with native lobster.

Four Signature Rolls are on offer, including the Cow Wow (marinated bulgogi beef and coleslaw, £22), Hot Mess (sashimi poke, crab tempura and spicy ponzu aioli, £22), the Perfect Storm (Spicy tuna, prawn tempura, salmon belly aburi and chipotle mayo, £24), or the Crispy Vegan Roll (enoki mushroom, amazu carrot, cucumber, £16).
