NIGEL FARAGE: ‘I’VE BEEN LIVING ON THE ROAD…NOW I’M HEADING BACK TO GB NEWS’

NIGEL Farage says he is looking forward to being back on GB News next month having spent weeks “living on the road”.

The leader of Reform UK has been off-air since mid-March spearheading his party’s local election fight.

But he said he was pleased that his prime time show, Farage, will return to the People’s Channel in early June.

He told GB News today: “After a hectic few weeks living on the road and following Reform UK’s huge success, I am pleased to announce that I will be coming back to my GB News show in June.”

Mr Farage’s return comes after a dramatic election campaign, which saw Reform UK win the Runcorn and Helsby by-election by six votes, beating Labour after a recount.

Former Conservative councillor Sarah Pochin overturned a 14,696 majority to take the Cheshire seat for Reform.

As well as winning its first ever parliamentary by-election, Reform also took its first mayoralty in Greater Lincolnshire, and control of its first councils in Staffordshire, Lincolnshire, and Durham.

In the wake of the Election win, Mr Farage claimed “we’re the real opposition now” and opinion polls today appear to back up his position.

A YouGov poll released this morning (WEDS) puts Reform UK at 29 per cent with a lead of seven percentage points over Labour.

Labour’s score of 22 per cent, meanwhile, suggests that Sir Keir Starmer’s party has lost more than one-third of its support at the election.

The Conservatives placed third on 17 per cent, down three percentage points on last week and its lowest YouGov score since June 2019 when Baroness May quit as prime minister.

Mr Farage will be back in the GB News hot seat from 7pm on Tuesday to Thursday. His hugely popular show has seen him land a TRIC award for Best News Presenter for two years running.

Accepting the TRIC award, last year he said: “GB News is now here to stay as a mainstream broadcaster in this country, and thank goodness for that.”
