Wallball a new fast-paced sport with Olympic ambitions, is back in Fleet Street Quarter for a second sensational summer, bringing free sport, fresh energy, and community spirit to New Street Square, EC4 from 29th July – 4th September 2025.

Hosted by Landsec and Fleet Street Quarter, in partnership with 1WALL, this open-to-all activation blends bold street art, and community energy. Set against a vibrant mural by acclaimed artist Donough O’Malley, the City of London’s first community Wallball court transforms public space into a place to move, connect, and play.

Wallball is at the forefront of a growing global trend toward accessible, urban sport. Designed for inner city settings, it’s played by hitting a ball against a wall using just your hands. The Wallball summer programme includes:

Free Coaching & Casual Play
Tuesday –Thursday lunchtimes (11:30am–2:30pm)
Wednesday & Thursday evenings (4:30pm–6:30pm)
Drop in and play with coaching from Team GB and UK Wallball. Outside of these hours, balls are available to borrow from reception at 6 New Street Square.

Weekly Challenges
· 29th – 31st July – h Beat the Coach: 60 seconds to outscore a UK Wallball coach
All summer – Time Challenge: Most hits in 30 seconds (last year’s record: 33!)
5th – 7th August – Around the Wall: Precision meets pace in a side-to-side test
12th – 14th August – Speed Week: 10 balls, one wall – how fast can you go?
19th – 21st August – Trick Shot Challenge & GB Face-Off: Copy the pros, then take them on
26th – 28th August – 1Wall Relay: Tag-team challenge for 3–5 players
2nd – 4th September – Corporate Clash Mini League: Teams of 2–6 compete in 2-minute matches in a fast-paced round-robin format
All summer – Landsec Tenant App Challenge: Hit the branded target, top the leaderboard

There are weekly £20 prizes, loyalty rewards for regulars (play 10 times, get a £5 voucher), and a £100 MVP prize for the standout player or team of the summer.
