Ellisons partners with Tom Bowdidge Youth Cancer Foundation to support young cancer patients

Ellisons has announced that the Tom Bowdidge Youth Cancer Foundation is their Charity of the Year for 2025–2026, in a partnership that is set to benefit young cancer patients and their families.
The Foundation, based in Colchester, funds vital research into teenage cancers and provides life-changing practical and emotional support to young people facing cancer diagnoses.
To maximise the impact of the partnership, Ellisons has pledged match funding of up to £10,000, doubling the efforts of colleagues across its offices in Colchester, Bury St Edmunds, Chelmsford, Frinton-On-Sea and Ipswich, as they fundraise over the next year.
Ian Seeley, Partner and Chairman of Ellisons’ Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, said: “The Tom Bowdidge Youth Cancer Foundation does incredible work supporting young people and their families through unimaginably difficult times. This partnership gives our colleagues the opportunity to contribute to a cause that makes a real difference in the lives of others, and with match funding in place we’re looking forward to seeing how much we can raise together.”
Nikki Bowdidge CEO of The Tom Bowdidge Youth Cancer Foundation say’s “We are truly thankful to Ellisons Solicitors for partnering with us throughout 2025/26. Their support will not only help raise essential funds for teenagers and young adults facing cancer, but also significantly increase awareness of our charity’s work. Although we are a small Colchester-based charity, our impact is felt nationwide as we provide vital support to young people and their families.”
Fundraising activities are already underway, with the Chelmsford team hosting a Quingo event earlier this year and the Family department organising a Drag Bingo fundraiser for September. In July, all Ellisons offices will take part in the Foundation’s ‘Tea for Tom’ initiative to help raise further funds and awareness.
