This summer 17 & Central has expanded its retail and service offering by welcoming three exciting new additions – Scrivens Opticians, The Car Wash Company and World Stunner Lashes.

Located next to The Perfume Shop, Scrivens joined 17 & Central earlier this month, bringing over 85 years of expertise in eye health. The company, which was established in 1938 and has 165 other stores across the UK, explains why it chose 17 & Central: “Scrivens wanted to stay close to our old shop so our patients wouldn’t have to travel far,” says Branch Manager, Louise Dourish. “We have such amazing, loyal patients from all over Walthamstow and where we are is very convenient with parking and transport.”

From eye tests and hearing checks to a curated range of designer eyewear, the company offers a huge range of services, including free NHS hearing aids for over 19s, mould retubing, free kids’ eyecare and OCT scans and takes a very different approach to dispensing glasses than other opticians, as Louise explains: “For over 85 years, we’ve put our customers at the heart of everything we do. It’s what sets us apart; a warm welcome when you walk through the door and professional staff who take the time to do things properly, whether it’s a thorough eye test, a hearing check or just answering a query you might have. One of the UK’s largest hand car wash and valeting companies, its waterless car wash saves up to 150 litres of water per vehicle by using eco-friendly products and expert hand-cleaning. Guests can now shop while their car gets a gleam-worthy polish, all without wasting a single drop of water.

Specialising in clever, concentrated and convenient cleaning products to produce better results, The Car Wash Company offers a range of services starting from £11.95.

Adding a little glam to 17 & Central’s beauty and fashion line-up is independent gem, World Stunner Lashes. The Centre’s latest arrival, World Stunner Lashes is located opposite Boots and offers an amazing selection of lashes and fashion jewellery. With a collection that’s all about affordable elegance and empowering self-expression, its mission is to empower individuals by offering unique, stylish, and high-quality jewellery pieces that enhance personal expression.

The store has a diverse range of products, from elegant necklaces and bracelets to trendy earrings and rings, ensuring there’s something for everyone.
