Squid Guards roaming London for new recruits!

The ruthless world of Squid Game might be fictional, but millions of Brits are convinced they’d survive it.

New research, commissioned by Squid Game: The Experience – London, has revealed that more than a quarter of Brits (27%) genuinely believe they’d have a shot at surviving and winning Squid Game if they had the chance to take part.

The survey explored the nation’s competitive streak, from how confident people are in their ability to win, to just how far they’d go to come out on top.

Of those surveyed, more than one in ten (11%) said they’d be ‘extremely likely’ to win, with a further 16% saying they’d be ‘likely’ to make it all the way until the end.

Confidence levels are notably higher among men, with more than a third (36%) backing themselves to win compared with just 18% of women. Meanwhile, 30% of people were far less optimistic, admitting they wouldn’t stand a chance of winning the games.

Londoners are the most confident in the country, with over a third (36%) saying they’d emerge victorious, closely followed by Cambridge (35%) and Manchester (32%).

When it comes to making it to the final round, 29% of people think they’d get that far. The millennial 25-34 age group is particularly confident, with nearly half (46%) backing themselves to survive until the end game.

But when asked how far they’d go to win, the competitive spirit turned ruthless. More than a third (38%) admitted they’d be willing to betray others to claim victory. Of those, men are far more cutthroat as nearly half (45%) said they’d turn on fellow players, compared to 30% of women.

George Wood, Managing Director of the Luna Entertainment Group, providers of Squid Game: The Experience – London, said: “With more than a quarter of Brits confident they could win Squid Game, it’s clear that people think they have the skills and nerve to survive the ultimate challenge.

“Now, they can put that confidence to the test at Squid Game: The Experience – London, navigating the games, facing tough choices, and seeing if they really have what it takes to come out on top. It’s a chance for fans to step into the world of Squid Game and see if their hopefulness matches reality.”
