Sela has today announced that Olympia will host London Premier Padel P1, the UK’s first elite professional padel tournament. Tickets are set to go on pre-sale from April 22 (to sign up for pre-sale visit www.p1london.com) and general sale from April 24 via Ticketmaster UK.
Taking place on August 4-9 as part of the 2026 Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour, the landmark event will bring the world’s best players to the iconic London venue – marking one of the first professional sports tournament to be staged at Olympia’s heritage halls, following the major £1.3bn transformation.
The decision to partner with Olympia follows the venue’s redevelopment into a fully integrated global destination for events, entertainment, hospitality and business, and reflects Sela’s ambition to bring world-class sporting events to the UK’s most exciting venues.
Stewart Hosford, CEO – Sela International, said: “Announcing Olympia as the host venue and opening ticket sales marks a hugely exciting step in bringing London Premier Padel P1 to life. Olympia’s £1.3 billion transformation provides an incredible stage for the world’s best players to play in the UK for the first time. We can’t wait to deliver an unforgettable experience that introduces even more fans to the energy and passion of padel.”
Arturo Coello, Men’s World No.1 padel player, said: “Premier Padel arriving in London is incredibly exciting. The energy of the city, combined with such an iconic setting, is going to make it a really special week. We’ve seen how quickly padel is growing in the UK, so I’m sure the fans will create an unforgettable atmosphere.”
London Premier Padel P1’s arrival marks a major milestone within this new chapter, as Sela leads the delivery and commercialisation of the tournament in collaboration with Premier Padel, and with support from the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA).
This announcement comes amid meteoric growth for the sport across Britain. New research from the LTA shows that padel participation in Britain has more than doubled in the last year, rising from 400,000 in 2024 to 860,000 by the end of 2025.
The sport’s surge in popularity has been matched by a rapid expansion in facilities. By the end of 2025 there were 1,553 padel courts across 559 venues in Britain, compared with 870 courts at 293 venues in 2024, and just 69 courts when the LTA became the sport’s national governing body in 2020.
Fans can access tickets through a phased on-sale window, beginning with a priority pre-sale on April 22, followed by an LTA Advantage Members pre-sale on April 23, before general sale opens on April 24.
To see the world’s best players in action this summer, fans can still register for the official pre-sale at www.p1london.com or access the general sale at www.ticketmaster.co.uk
