Escape to a garden in full bloom with a limited-edition afternoon tea at RAILS Restaurant, Kaya Great Northern Hotel, where a floral gin cocktail and botanical infusions bring a fragrant twist to the experience, from a lavender-laced serve to delicate floral teas. Perfectly timed to celebrate London’s Chelsea Flower Show (19th – 23rd May), this afternoon tea brings the charm of an English garden to the heart of King’s Cross.
Just moments from the station, RAILS offers a calm and cosy setting to pause and unwind. Settle in with a window table and savour the experience away from the hustle and bustle of the city, whether stopping by en route to Chelsea or carving out a quiet afternoon in the capital.
Savour a selection of delicate finger sandwiches, from lemon thyme roasted beef sirloin with horseradish, classic cucumber and cream cheese, smoked salmon with dill and a refined asparagus and chive tartlet. Sweet notes follow with floral-inspired creations such as a rose and raspberry white chocolate delice, lavender and blueberry muffin, and a light chamomile and lemon choux bun, complemented by fresh strawberries and cream.
Freshly baked fruit and plain scones are served with plenty of strawberry jam and Cornish clotted cream and can be enjoyed with loose-leaf blends from Camellia’s Tea House and the special edition gin cocktail, made from a lavender-infused spirit. Guests can also add a glass of prosecco, Nyetimber English sparkling wine or Billecart-Salmon champagne to continue the celebration.
RAILS’ limited-edition Chelsea Flower Show Afternoon Tea is priced from £42.50 per person, £56.50 with a floral gin cocktail, and is served from Tuesday 19th May to Sunday 24th May, 1pm – 5pm.
