A new LEGO® Education coding product is to be showcased at this week’s Bett Show by UK education solutions and training provider CreativeHUT.
The Warrington-based business is a key partner of LEGO® Education in the UK and will be providing an opportunity for teachers and educationalists to get hands on with Coding Express at the show’s ExCeL London location, weeks before it goes on sale in the UK.
LEGO® Education Master Trainer Mads Lemvigh Fog will also be at the show to present five workshops from the CreativeHUT stand. He will be demonstrating how Coding Express can introduce early coding concepts to children aged two and upward.
CreativeHUT will also be hosting an exclusive workshop lead by 10-year-old Callum Daniel, founder of ICODEROBOTS and one of the UK’s youngest CEOs. He will be demonstrating how LEGO® MINDSTORMS Education can be introduced to Maker projects on Saturday at 1pm.
CreativeHUT’s team are expecting to make a huge impact on their first appearance at one of the UK’s biggest education technology and innovation shows, which opens at Excel tomorrow (Wednesday) and runs until Saturday.
Across the four days, CreativeHUT is running a range of one-hour interactive workshops using KUBO® coding and LEGO® Education solutions – all bookable through Eventbrite.
They are also offering show attendees the chance to win a LEGO® Technics Bugatti and a range of other prizes by playing their special skee ball machine – built entirely from LEGO® by renowned LEGO® master builder ElectryDragonite.
CreativeHUT are looking to build on the mass appeal of LEGO® and its ability to introduce and engage schoolchildren in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) subjects. Coding is something many children actually enjoy, which is why lessons at Champions Academy are booking up fast.
Co-founder Paul Chisnall said: “The Bett Show is a great opportunity for us talk to and show teachers and others in the education sector some of the most innovative and fun educational solutions available.
“LEGO® Education provide solutions that fully engage kids, no matter what their age, and so it is great to be able to bring some of the very best LEGO® Education solutions to the show and demonstrate how they can help schoolchildren to develop critical thinking, creativity and get an interest in STEAM.
He added: “We’re really looking forward to the week and it’s going to be great final day too with Callum appearing on the stand.”
CreativeHUT, who will also have products from Sphero, pi-top, KUBO® & TETRIX by Pitsco, are located on Stand F70-71 at the Bett Show. Entry to the show is free. Register here.
