A new open air venue is launching at Greenwich’s Morden Wharf
A new open air venue is launching at Greenwich’s Morden Wharf with street food, DJs and Funktion One sound.
Morden Wharf Terrace is set to become your favourite new summer hideout with a new open-air terrace and idyllic views across the Thames towards Canary Wharf’s skyline. It launches on the bank holiday weekend of 29th April with delicious street food, quality cocktails and fresh brews as well as a fine selection of international DJ talent including Nancie, Marcel Vogel, Fabio, Terry Farley and many more. Head to mwterrace.com for the full event schedule.
Morden Wharf Terrace is a truly special venue perched on the banks of the Thames in a historic industrial yard which is part of Greenwich’s Brew By Numbers Brewery. It’s a gorgeous building in famous old red brick, with an open-air terrace right by the glistening waters. With uninterrupted views out to the iconic skyline of Canary Wharf and all its many silvery skyscrapers, it is a place to relax and chill, to watch boats drift by and soak up some rays. There are very few places to do this in London, especially in such a famous riverside setting with alfresco dancing. The 500 capacity space has all new seating crafted from reclaimed and up-cycled wood and each dance will be powered by a brand new Funktion One sound system installed by RSH Audio with a shipping container DJ booth perfectly befitting the industrial setting.
“We’re really excited to be bringing some of the best names in electronic music to this stunning location on the Thames. The terrace is part of Brew By Numbers Brewery and I knew it had huge potential to be transformed into a music venue. Open-air dancing in London is still a rarity and we’re making the most of this with uninterrupted panoramic views, Funktion One sound and the best street food. We have a brewery next door so that means amazing craft beer on tap too!” Alex Donald – Operator, Morden Wharf Terrace
Brew By Numbers will supply amazing beers on tap including juicy session Pale Ales, hazy IPAs and hop-forward Double IPAs as well as plenty of seasonal brews. There will also be some fancy and forward-thinking cocktails to sip on, and a classy street food offering including select dates from Black Eats LDN – the UK’s first and only Black-owned restaurant directory – mighty chicken from the popular It’s A London Wing and sustainable, wood-fired pizza with innovative, seasonable toppings from Freewheelin’ Pizza.
A carefully curated program of events will mix up the Riverside Beer Festival and Glastonbury Screenings with parties from accomplished brands such as UKG Brunch, Stanton Sessions, Glasgow Underground, Mas Que Nada, Reptile Dysfunction, 30 Years of Hard Times and many more, with quality DJs from the worlds of house, disco, soul, funk and more already booked including Nancie, Marcel Vogel, Terry Farley, Kevin Mckay, Nancy, Spencer Brown, Oliver Smith, Richie Blacker, Fabio, Doorly, Matt Jam Lamont, Redfreya, Stanton Warriors, Lulah Francs and more.
Morden Wharf Terrace offers a perfect place to escape the madness of the everyday with great food, music and people in a truly unique London location.
