A New Pop-Up Tap-Room is Opening on Brick Lane this October

Set in the heart of East London, the Brick Lane Tap Room launches to the public on the 23rd October as a new drinking location in the iconic Truman Brewery. The 60-cover tap-room will serve as a socially-distanced drinking space for Londoners to enjoy a selection of craft-beers and Brooklyn-inspired street food. The tap-room will be open for reservations every Thursday to Saturday with booking slots between 12pm and 10pm.

The first round of Craft beers on tap will be provided by London Fields Brewery, Adnams and Brooklyn Brewery, and visitors will be able to enjoy celebrated favourites delivered straight to their table including the  Hackney Hopster, Shoreditch Triangle, Brooklyn Lager and Brooklyn Defender, as well as the Adnams Ghostship Pale Ale, Dry Hopped Lager, Ease Up IPA, and Bitburger. The venue’s food offering, décor and music take inspiration from the streets of Brooklyn, and the menu will feature a selection of freshly-cooked small plates and aptly named main meals such as the Williamsburger, the B.I.G. Hot Dog and vegan-friendly falafel.

With the current restrictions expected to last at least six months, purpose-built Covid-secure drinking spaces will play an increasingly important part of the fabric of the city as safe-spaces for Londoners to socialise.  “We may be slightly crazy, opening in the middle of a pandemic, with all this uncertainty,” said Luca Pilato, founder of Brick Lane Taproom. “But bars are such an integral part of how we socialise in this country, and we wanted to create the taproom to fulfil that need in a safe space that’s built for purpose. We believe that the response to ‘eat out to help out’ earlier in the year shows the public do feel comfortable going out and supporting the hospitality sector, and it’s our responsibility to ensure it’s safe for them to do so.”

The Tap Room shall run as a temporary space from 23 Oct – 19 Dec at the Truman Brewery site running on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sundays with booking slots available in 3 hour sessions. Early bird registrations will receive a discount on the first release of bookings using booking code: TapRoom20
