Author and designer Maria Navarre (often Skay Navarre), is launching a unique range of LGBTQ-inspired greetings card. Unlike the traditional cards, the collection focuses on creating fun, humorous and engaging greetings cards for every occasion.  

Greeting cards are big business in the United Kingdom. In 2018, the country purchased and sent an incredible 911 million cards – spending over £1.7 billion in the process. There are cards for all occasions but it is key events such as birthdays, Christmas, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day that are most popular.

However, despite the popularity of the greetings cards the themes and styles have remained static for a number of years. For the growing LGBTQ community, the few cards designed for them have often been simply based around the rainbow design. UK-based Ms Navarre is aiming to transform the industry with its range of unique hand-crafted cards.

Maria Navarre added, “For a long time the LGBTQ community has been very limited when it comes to sending and receiving greetings cards. That is why I wanted to launch a series of cards that represent real life and real people in a fun and engaging manner.
