This November, The Royal Horseguards Hotel transforms its terrace into a cosy festive hideaway in the heart of London. Tucked alongside Whitehall Gardens, just moments from the River Thames, the Terrace offers a tranquil retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. Dressed with twinkling lights and chairs draped in cosy blankets, the terrace provides an inviting spot for everything from leisurely lunches to evening drinks throughout the festive season.
Open from 12pm – 10pm daily from the 1st November, the terrace will serve a menu of winter favourites, from indulgent chocolate fondues and a hearty Bratwurst Platter to seasonal cocktails and warming hot chocolates.
Designed to share, the Bratwurst Platter includes a spread of traditional smoked German sausages served alongside sauerkraut, a German potato Salad, cornichons, pickled red cabbage, crispy onions, with wholegrain mustard, curry ketchup and pretzels to complete the spread. For a vegetarian alternative, the Milanese Platter includes crispy aubergine cotoletta, wild mushroom arancini and parmesan & rosemary fries, served alongside a rocket salad, pickled vegetables, salsa verde, garlic & parmesan aioli and warm artisan focaccia.
For something sweet, the Warm Belgian Chocolate Fondue with strawberries, pineapple, grapes, marshmallows and shortbread ready to be dipped into the warm melted chocolate. Meanwhile, alongside a selection of seasonal cocktails, a tempting selection of hot chocolate flavours, including Salted Caramel, Gingerbread and S’mores. For an extra indulgent twist, guests can add a shot of caramel liqueur, Frangelico, Baileys, Irish whiskey or sambuca.
