ABBA Voyage Announces New Youth Initiatives

Ahead of its third anniversary, ABBA Voyage has today announced a series of new initiatives aimed at increasing access for young people to the groundbreaking concert. With a focus on education, affordability and engagement, these initiatives reflect ABBA Voyage’s ongoing commitment to its local community and beyond, and to inspiring the next generation of creatives.

New Youth-Focused Initiatives include:
Schools Concerts
Following a successful pilot in 2024, ABBA Voyage will host two dedicated schools concerts annually for state school groups from Year 3 to Year 13. In 2025, these special performances will take place on Thursday 19th June and Wednesday 15th October, enabling over 5,000 local young people to enjoy ABBA Voyage for just £10 a ticket.

ABBA Voyage is working in partnership with the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) and Go Live Theatre Projects to manage outreach and ticket allocation, prioritising schools that have previously taken part in ABBA Voyage’s career day programmes, followed by schools within the concert’s four neighbouring boroughs – Newham, Hackney, Waltham Forest, and Tower Hamlets and schools in Greater London that have high percentages of students on free school meals and pupil premium.

New Education Group Rate
Schools, colleges, and universities can access a new £35 education group rate for students aged 14+ for select performances (Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday concerts).

Young Persons Rate
A new £35 dance floor ticket rate has now been launched, available to young people aged 16–25 for concerts in June and July, enabling greater access to the concert.

Learning and Development Opportunities
In collaboration with LLDC, ABBA Voyage continues to support young people across its local boroughs with a wide range of education and career development opportunities. These include school holiday workshops and an annual careers week tailored to the live events and creative industries. ABBA Voyage is working in close partnership with LLDC to continue explore further ways in which it can strengthen its education outreach work and impact to the local area.

Svana Gisla and Ludvig Andersson, producers of ABBA Voyage said: “We want to give as many young people as possible the opportunity to see our concert and hope that this unique experience might inspire future generations of artists, performers, producers, technicians and audiences.

Over the past three years we have been working closely with the LLDC to provide learning opportunities to the communities of our four local boroughs. By giving our young neighbours access to the arts right on their doorstep, we hope we have helped to encourage them to view the creative industries as a viable career path.

To mark our third anniversary, we are now making a commitment to develop a series of broader initiatives designed to make our concert more accessible to even more young people.”

Shazia Hussain, CEO, LLDC, said: “We are proud to continue our partnership with ABBA Voyage to create meaningful learning and development opportunities for young talent across east London. Through this collaboration, we’re enabling immersive learning experiences that open doors to the rich and diverse world of creative careers, many of which may have previously felt out of reach. Looking ahead, we’re exploring new ways to expand our local impact, offering even more young people experiences that inspire them and help shape their futures.”

Earlier this year, it was announced that the ABBA Voyage setlist will change from the third anniversary concert, on Tuesday 27th May.

After opening in May 2022, the revolutionary concert has been globally celebrated as a landmark event in music and entertainment, receiving widespread critical acclaim. Over three million visitors have now attended ABBA Voyage, travelling from across the globe to witness ABBA take to the stage as digital avatars in the purpose-built ABBA Arena, located at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

“Jaw-dropping”, “ground-breaking”, “phenomenal” are just a few quotes from fans describing ABBA Voyage, the first live concert of its kind. Blending cutting-edge technology, spectacular lighting, and some of the most beloved songs ever written, ABBA perform as digital versions of themselves, backed by a live ten-piece band.

In a social and economic impact assessment released in November 2024 by global music, culture and creative economy consultancy Sound Diplomacy, it was reported that ABBA Voyage contributed £1.40 billion in turnover to the UK economy and an estimated social value of £46.5 million, between May 2022 and May 2024.
