Acton Regeneration Progress Celebrated with Topping Out Ceremony
On Friday 10th September local dignitaries, including the MP for Ealing Central and Acton Dr Rupa Huq, joined Barratt London to celebrate the topping out of the Soleil Apartments at Western Circus. This important milestone celebrated the start of an exciting next chapter for the rapidly changing Borough of Acton, with Western Circus part of the 1,600-acre redevelopment masterplan set to give Acton a new identity.
To mark this special occasion Dr Huq MP was presented with a ceremonial trowel and invited to place the final brick on Soleil Apartments, the latest apartment building in the Western Circus development, which will offer 365 homes when complete. Also in attendance were Councillors Katherine Crawford and Steve Donnelly of Ealing Council.
With the promised arrival of Crossrail, all eyes are on Acton and its planned £26 billion transformation. Following the announcement of the 1,600-acre Park Royal regeneration site as part of a 30-year vision for a new cosmopolitan corner of London, Barratt London’s Western Circus is one of the first available developments to buy in Acton. Bringing 365 new homes to the local area, together with a Lidl supermarket and community café, the development will offer 142 affordable apartments and 222 private, with the majority available with Help to Buy, due to be completed from February next year.
Ed McCoy, Sales and Marketing Director for Barratt West London, commented: “Western Circus was built to address the historically limited housing options in Acton, and has been specifically designed with community in mind, with cycle storage for 500 bikes, landscaped communal gardens and a supermarket and community café on the development. These features will help to create a welcoming environment where both families and professionals want to live and stay.”
