ADDLESTONE SITE MANAGER RECEIVES ESTEEMED PRIDE IN THE JOB AWARD
Lewis Digby, Senior Site Manager for Martin Grant Homes’ Coombelands Gardens development in Addlestone, Surrey, has been recognised for his exceptional standards and hard work at Coombelands Gardens with a coveted National House Building Council (NHBC) award. Lewis has previously won the same award for his work on another Martin Grant Homes development in Bramley.
The NHBC’s Pride in the Job Quality Awards are the most highly regarded competition in the housebuilding industry and have been rewarding excellence for over four decades. The awards recognise and reward the best run building sites in the country and are one of the highest accolades a Site Manager can achieve.
Lewis Digby, from Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, comments: “I’m very pleased to have been given this award. This is my second award win now, and it’s not just a great achievement for Martin Grant Homes but also for myself to showcase the quality of work produced by the whole team on site. I’ve definitely got my fingers crossed that we can succeed in the next stage of the competition.”
Competing against over 10,000 entrants, Lewis is one of only 450 recognised for their dedication to building homes of an outstanding standard. In addition to spot checks from the NHBC, Site Managers are judged on their consistency, attention to detail, leadership, technical expertise, and health and safety.
Chris Hamilton, Managing Director at Martin Grant Homes, commented: “The Pride in the Job Award recognises the hugely important role that Site Managers play on a development. It is a significant achievement for Lewis, one we are very proud of him for. We also appreciate the high standard of work that was put in by the rest of the site team at Coombelands Gardens to achieve this award win.”
