Akila Pole Studio is a leading pole dance studio in the heart of Brixton, welcoming all of London’s vibrant community to a safe space where they can express themselves, grow and connect with others through dance.

The studio dispels the myth that pole dancing is scary, cliquey and exclusive by uniquely offering a wide breadth of classes and workshops for all experiences. From ‘absolute beginner’ to ‘splits and tricks’, to ‘heels and choreo’. This October, Akila Pole Studio puts a fangtastic Halloween twist on the hit classes, plus invites everyone to their annual Halloween Pole Jam mixer! Expect freestyle performances, games and prizes, pole fun guidance, and eye-popping outfits. The party takes place on Friday 25 October from 6:30pm and tickets are £6 here – everybody is invited.

Special guest workshops at the studio this month include a very special one with Peter Holoda – internationally acclaimed professional pole dancer who is considered ‘the best of the best’ and recently danced on stage alongside Andrea Bocelli’s performance.

Committed to inclusivity and diversity, it is a priority that all members are made to feel respected and supported. The studio welcomes and champions everyone, hosting instructors and dancers who identify as neurodiverse, BIPOC, queer, and/or have been sex workers – an honest reflection of the world we live and love in.
