Anna Kennedy OBE interviews author and actor Chris Wild during radio slot

by Anna Kennedy OBE ||

This week my guest on Women’s Radio Station was Author, artist and actor Chris Wild.

Chris is 38 year old husband and father of 2 beautiful children and was born in Halifax and now living in London.

Chris spoke about his book ‘Damaged’ A heart braking story of kids trapped on Britain’s broken care system. Chris lost his dad at 11 and was sent to live, grow and be nurtured in the care system. There he witnessed the incessant physical and sexual abuse of vulnerable children, and found the only route of escape led to anew home on the streets.

He found so many others just like him, failed by the systems put in place to protect vulnerable children, leaving them with nothing but drink, drugs, prostitution and crime to become their normality.

Chris spoke to Anna about his experiences growing up and on now how he is contracted by a company to visit new care homes. He is currently working with 2 teenagers on the autism spectrum in semi independent placements. He is working with them on social integration and why spoke to Anna on how this is so important for their future development.

Anna was introduced to Chris by one of her charity Patrons Steven Smith. Chris donated one of his amazing paintings to auction for the AnnaKennedyonline National Autism Hero Awards that took place in November 2018.

Chris told me “I thoroughly enjoyed being a guest on Anna’s live radio show. I have done lots of radio shows over the last 6 months for my book ‘Damaged’ and Anna has to be one of the most welcoming presenters I have ever met!
Anna is inspirational and her passion for raising awareness on autism is formidable.”

Women’s Radio Station shares ‘The first week of Live Shows has been fantastic and the feedback has been great. Anna’s regular weekly show ‘All things Autism’  is on Tuesday from 1 pm until 2 pm.

Chris Wild Book is available on Amazon and in Waterstones.
