Appeal for information after shots fired in Camden
Detectives have released CCTV as part of an appeal for information following a shooting in Camden in June.
Police were called at around 01:25hrs on Monday, 17 June to reports of shots fired on Camden High Street at the junction of Buck Street, NW1.
It was reported that three suspects got out of a blue BMW 1 series and fired shots towards a grey Mercedes C Class.
On police arrival, both vehicles had left the scene. It is believed the car containing the potential victims turned left out of Buck Street into Camden High Street where it drove in the wrong direction before turning right into Inverness Street.
CCTV also shows the blue BMW 1 series – the suspects’ vehicle – continue north along Camden High Street. It was last sighted in Grafton Road, NW5.
Analysis of the scene revealed damage to a nearby window, found to be consistent with damage from a shotgun.
The Mercedes has since been established as a hire vehicle with registration KW68 NSY.
Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the incident or the cars involved in the moments leading up to it.
Detective Constable Michael Clinch, who is investigating the incident, said: “Whilst we have yet to trace a victim in this case, we are determined to get the individuals involved in this incident off our streets, as well as finding the firearm which was used.
“Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the early hours of June 17 or believes they may have information which could help our investigation is urged to call us on 0208 201 2713.”
