Award-winning drinks expert Oisín Davis to launch debut book Irish Kitchen Cocktails at Darby’s

IRISH KITCHEN COCKTAILS is a new book written by spirits writer and drinks promoter Oisín Davis. After travelling the world spreading the word about Irish drinks, award-winning industry expert Oisín Davis knows that Ireland has some of the best distilleries on the planet.

Home to an incredible array of whiskey, gin, poitín, vodka, rum, liqueur, mead, vermouth and fruit distillates, Oisín celebrates these exceptional producers in the best way he knows how: by showing you how to make easy yet impressive cocktails without any fancy equipment.

Discover 60 failsafe recipes that you can put together in minutes, using the most commonly found utensils in your kitchen. From batch-bottling to blending, punchy infusions to warming potions, emergency imbibes for an impromptu after-party, Oisín has you covered for every occasion. Sláinte!

OISÍN DAVIS is a self-confessed wizened old warhorse of the Irish drinks industry. His earliest work years saw him taking on roles as varied as a dive bar doorman in San Francisco to a music promoter for clubs and venues. In 1999, he opened the Sugar Club on Dublin’s Leeson Street and worked as their general manager for 13 years.

There he learnt the craft of cocktail bartending and loved it. His passion for Irish spirits and cocktails led him to establish Ireland’s first dedicated drinks consultancy, Great Irish Beverages. Through this company, he has run nationwide drinks festivals, worked all over the world marketing for Jameson’s global team and manages publicity for some of Ireland’s most prestigious spirits and iconic whiskeys.

Oisín writes an award-winning monthly column in Food & Wine Magazine with the Business Post and is a regular radio and TV contributor.
