Azets, the UK’s largest regional accountancy and business advisor to SMEs, has relocated its Newbury staff to new offices in London Road, Newbury, just across from its previous site, in order to capitalise on the booming local economy. The new Newbury office opens after an extensive programme of refurbishment costing around £350,000 and extends to over 6,000 square feet. Azets plans to add a number of additional staff in the coming weeks and months, including three new Partners and a new Director, with more hires to follow. The move is part of a long-term strategy to grow the Azets business both in the Thames Valley and across the South East.

The office has undergone a complete refit to better service Azets’ existing clients and to prepare for planned growth in the number of clients and employees in the Thames Valley. The business is on target to employ around 65 staff in Newbury over the next 12 months who, with the new investment, will enjoy a smart, agile 21st century working environment with extensive car parking. All employees will be offered the chance to participate in the firm’s new hybrid agile working model.

In addition to the new imminent recruits to the office of the three new Partners and a new Tax Director, additional staff will also be joining the Newbury team as the office continues to expand and gain momentum. The firm is actively looking to hire a further seven to 10 new staff in Newbury, including several at senior level, to join the existing 53 employees who already include two Partners and a Director.

The four new senior joiners, who will be announced shortly, will contribute many years of experience in audit, advisory, outsourcing and tax from working with SMEs and individuals from other practices in the area, and are excited to be joining a growing office and team.
Azets’ satellite office in Reading, which offers local support to clients in that area, is further evidence of the firm’s commitment to the Thames Valley. Areas of specialism offered in the region include accountancy and business advice for equine companies and corporate tax support.
