Bakkavor Creates 15 New Apprenticeship Roles across its London Sites

Bakkavor, the leading provider of fresh prepared food in the UK, will be opening its doors to 15 business leaders of tomorrow, as it announces details of its award-winning Apprenticeship Programme in 2024. The application process is now open and successful candidates will start their career journey with the Bakkavor in and around London in September 2024.

Nationally, 2024 represents a record apprenticeship intake for Bakkavor as a Group – the country’s leading fresh prepared food manufacturer – with the number of roles up from 60 to 83 since 2022 – and almost doubling since 2021 (44 roles). The Apprenticeship intake for Bakkavor’s five London sites for 2024 spans skills areas including; engineering, health and safety, logistics, supply chain and human resources.

1 x Advanced Engineer – Level 3 Food & Drink Maintenance Engineer
1 x Higher Manufacturing – Level 4 Process Leader
1 x Advanced Continuous Improvement – Level 3 Advanced Improvement Technician
1 x Advanced Health & Safety – Level 3 Safety, Health & Environment Technician

Abbeydale, (Meals):
2 x Advanced Engineers – Level 3 Food & Drink Maintenance Engineer
1 x Higher Manufacturing – Level 4 Process Leader

Elveden, (Meals):
2 x Advanced Engineers – Level 3 Food & Drink Maintenance Engineer
1 x Higher Manufacturing – Level 4 Process Leader
1 x Advanced HR – Level 3 HR Support Apprentice

Premier Park, (Meals):

Bakkavor’s Apprenticeship Programme provides real responsibility from day one, enabling apprentices to contribute to key business activities and projects, whilst also allowing for time to study towards a nationally recognised qualification. There is also the opportunity to develop valuable life skills through involvement in local community and charity initiatives and visiting schools as Apprentice Ambassadors.

Bakkavor’s Apprenticeship Programme is recognised as best in class, named TheJobCrowd’s Top Company for Apprentices to work for in Consumer Goods and FMCG for the past three years.
