BAR KROKETA BRINGS BASQUE FOOD AND DRINK FESTIVAL TO BROADGATE CIRCLE THIS SEPTEMBER

This September, Bar Kroketa at Broadgate Circle is bringing the spirit of a traditional Basque bar crawl to London with Pintxo-Pote, a one-day celebration of Basque food, drink and culture taking place inside the restaurant and outside on Broadgate Circle.
On Saturday 26th September, guests can expect a lively festival atmosphere, with a series of pop-up ‘barstops’ serving everything from crisp txakoli and natural Basque cider to beer and Basque-inspired drinks, alongside plenty of pintxos, croquetas, music and entertainment. Because in the Basque Country, you don’t just go to one bar. You go to several.
Rather than trekking from bar to bar, Pintxo-Pote brings the bar-hopping experience together in one place, with each stop offering a different taste of the Basque Country. Guests can grab a glass, meet the producers, discover new wines and drinks, and move from one stop to the next as the afternoon unfolds.
Expect txakoli poured the Basque way from height, natural cider, Basque wines including Rioja, beer and other drinks inspired by the region, alongside a menu of Basque favourites from Bar Kroketa.
At the Bar Kroketa stop, the spotlight will be on one of its most beloved creations: croquetas. A selection will be available to taste throughout the day, with guests invited to cast their vote for their favourite and crown the Pintxo-Pote People’s Champion. Expect strong opinions!

There will also be a chance to get stuck into classic Basque pintxos, with gildas and other bites joining the festival line-up, giving guests plenty of reason to linger, graze and go back for another round.
Live Basque music will add to the festivities throughout the afternoon, with plenty of atmosphere, energy and the spirit of a Saturday spent bar-hopping in San Sebastián or Bilbao.
