BARRATT HOMES SUPPORTS LOCAL CHARITY IN BYFLEET WITH £1,000 DONATION - London TV

BARRATT HOMES SUPPORTS LOCAL CHARITY IN BYFLEET WITH £1,000 DONATION

Byfleet United Charity, an organisation that provides financial and wellbeing support to the residents of Byfleet and West Byfleet, has received a donation of £1,000 from local housebuilder Barratt Homes. The housebuilder is currently building its Eldebury Place development in Chertsey, Surrey.

Byfleet United Charity has supported the community of Byfleet and West Byfleet for more than 100 years, providing grants for clubs, schools, and community organisations, as well as individuals and families in need. It has also expanded from providing financial aid to providing assistance for mental health wellbeing and general care.

The donation, made from Barratt’s Community Fund initiative, will support one of Byfleet United Charity’s newest projects, where they have collaborated with Byfleet Foodbank to provide an onsite Citizen’s Advice Advisor to help residents get advice locally, rather than having to travel further afield. This donation will allow the Advisor to have increased availability and be onsite more often.

Kimberley Benson, Sales and Marketing Director for Barratt Southern Counties, comments: “As a responsible housebuilder, we are committed to supporting the communities in which we build. Byfleet United Charity is clearly an integral part of supporting the local community, and we hope our donation will enable the Citizen’s Advice Advisor to enhance the superb work that this charity is already doing.”

Tony Thompson, Chair of Trustees for Byfleet United Charity, comments: “We would like to thank Barratt Southern Counties for its generous donation. This donation will allow us to expand the services we are currently providing, which means that the residents benefiting from the new Citizen’s Advice Advisor will have more access to these services.”

Barratt Southern Counties is building new homes at its Eldebury Place development in Chertsey, where a collection of one, two, three and four-bedroom homes are available. Prices start from £274,995 for a one-bedroom apartment.
