BARRATT LONDON CELEBRATES COMMUNITY AT RESIDENTS’ SUMMER FUN DAY
Barratt London hosted a summer Fun Day for residents at its New Mill Quarter development in Hackbridge last Saturday (14th), with live music, food trucks, a dog treat station, art and face painting stalls, as well as a charity raffle, all in a bid to raise money for local charity, the Sutton Mental Health Foundation.
Money raised in the raffle, as well as other donations received throughout the day, was collected to support the charity on top of an additional £1,000 donation from Barratt London as part of its Community Fund scheme. The Sutton Mental Health Foundation plans to put the money towards the running of its new ‘Crisis Café’ offering a place of safety and comfort to those in need.
Lisa Lancefield, Acting Chief Officer from Sutton Mental Health Foundation, commented: “We hope all the residents had a lovely time at their Summer Fun Day. We are very grateful to them, and Barratt London, for all the money they raised. All donations are going towards our new Crisis Café, which is has just opened to the public this week offering an out-of-hours service to those in need of support. This service will allow us to help many more people across the Borough who are in crisis, suffering with depression, anxiety and other similar conditions.”
The growing community at Barratt London’s New Mill Quarter development will soon see the opening of an on-site Doctor’s Surgery, adding to the primary school and Lidl supermarket which is already in place. Once complete, the development will provide a total of 440 new homes, including one and two-bedroom apartments and three and four-bedroom houses, as well as landscaped gardens and a children’s playground which are already open. Voile Court is the latest phase released for sale, with prices starting from £334,995.
Pam Reardon, Sales and Marketing Director at Barratt East London said: “At Barratt London, we are invested in our local communities, and after a hard year we wanted to celebrate everyone being able to meet each other properly. We hope everyone enjoyed the summer Residents’ Fun Day and getting to know their new neighbours in the sunshine.”
