Barratt London Embraces New Normal with Virtual Festival of Culture

Barratt London is launching its Festival of Culture, a series of bi-weekly virtual events in the lead up to Christmas at its Ridgeway Views development, overlooking the Totteridge Valley in Mill Hill. The first event, this weekend, will kick off proceedings with a Jazz Brunch featuring Lauren Lucille on Sunday 1st November 2020 at 11am.

Jazz performer Lauren will be joined by her guitarist and bassist for an hour-long set. She has been performing for 18 years, and has previously sung at numerous jazz festivals such as WOMAD in the UK and to sell-out performances at top clubs across Australia.

Lauren Lucille, qualified vocal coach and singer songwriter said: “Performances this year have been hard to come by and we’re all learning to adjust. It’s great that Barratt London are creating opportunities for local performers, like myself, to spread some joy in otherwise difficult times.”

Other livestream events at the Festival of Culture include:

Art class with the North London art group Studio Fridays, a landscape masterclass. Studio Fridays’ artists have held many successful solo and group shows in the past, and have been selected for major exhibitions at the Royal Academy, Bankside Gallery and Mall Galleries.
A cookery class with a local chef. Taking place in the Ridgeway Views show apartment kitchen.
Carol Concert with members of a local choir led by resident Hazel Patterson.

Pam Reardon, Sales and Marketing Director at Barratt East London, comments: “The Festival of Culture has been curated to spread some cheer in the run up to Christmas. Kicking off with live Jazz for Sunday Brunch. We look forward to welcoming you to the development virtually and helping you to unwind on a Sunday morning.”
