Be Richmond Launches UK’s First Town Centre Learning Hub in Partnership with SEEDL

Be Richmond is launching an innovative town centre learning hub from 01 April, developed in partnership with SEEDL, a leading virtual live learning subscription service.

This pioneering initiative offers employees of businesses supported by the Be Richmond Business Improvement District (BID) complimentary, unlimited access to over 200 live courses at any given time.

The learning hub is designed to cater to the diverse professional development needs of Richmond’s workforce, encompassing a wide array of subjects from Retail Management and Customer Service to Microsoft Excel and Project Management.

Ellen Storrar, BID Manager for Be Richmond, said: “With such a diverse business mix in our town centre, this is the perfect way to allow us to deliver the learning needs of retailers, hospitality and professional services firms alike.”

All courses are delivered as live interactive webinars, providing employees with the flexibility to engage in real-time learning from various locations, be it their home, office, or one of Richmond’s many hospitality venues equipped with internet access.

Upon completion of a course, participants can download a Be Richmond certificate, serving as a testament to their personal development and newly acquired skills.

The collaboration with SEEDL underscores a shared commitment to enhancing employee retention and attraction within the local business community.

Joanna Nash, Chief Learning Officer at SEEDL, highlighted the strategic advantage this partnership offers: “With learning being such a key part of candidate attraction and retention, we’re delighted to help Be Richmond businesses have a competitive edge.

“We will also be running mental wellness offerings, which is something so many businesses have been asking us to offer during our research exercise,” she added.

The learning hub launches on April 1st. Be Richmond BID levy payers are encouraged to enrol their employees to take full advantage of this complimentary resource.
