Best of Royal Greenwich Business Awards 2023 Applications Open!

The nominations for the Best of Royal Greenwich Business Awards 2023 are now open until Wednesday 20 September – and we want as many businesses as possible to apply! Now in their sixth year, the awards aim to celebrate the brilliant variety and character of businesses in Royal Greenwich. The awards are free to enter, and open to anyone who owns or manages a business in Royal Greenwich.

The awards are run in association with Headline Sponsor LandsecU+I and supported by the South East London Chamber of Commerce. By taking part, businesses will have the chance to win the Overall Prize and £3,000 to spend on your business, courtesy of Willmot Dixon.

This year’s awards offer 12 categories to choose from, and businesses can enter a maximum of two of the following categories:

Greener Greenwich sponsored by The O2
Health and Wellbeing sponsored by GLL-Better
High Street Retailer sponsored by Hindwoods
Innovation sponsored by Alcatel Submarine Networks
Made in Greenwich sponsored by Grant Saw
Market or Mobile trader award sponsored by London City Airport
Online Business award sponsored by Digital Greenwich Connect
Professional Service Award sponsored by Berkeley Homes
Tourism and Culture sponsored by Uber Boats by Thames Clippers
Workforce Development sponsored by London South East Colleges

The shortlist will be announced in October, with nine of the category winners, and the overall winner, chosen by the judging panel. Best Food and Drink, High Street Retailer, Market & Mobile Trader will be selected by public vote, which will open in mid-October.

This year’s Judges will be:

Michael Bullion, CEO and Founder, Tribe Urban Entertainment
Rachel Brown, Head of Enterprise and Innovation, University of Greenwich
Cllr Majid Rahman, Economy Champion, Our Greenwich Plan
Tracey Sage, Associate, Emergency Exit Arts
Max Skomorowski, Director, Greenwich Enterprise Board
All the judges were chosen for their experience and expertise across different fields and for their contributions to the borough.

Councillor Anthony Okereke, Leader of the Royal Borough of Greenwich, said: “Royal Greenwich is home to over 9,000 businesses, employing over 100,000 people and forming the backbone of our local economy. These awards are all about recognising the amazing work they do.”

The winners will be revealed at a sparkling ceremony at the InterContinental O2 Hotel on Friday 10 November, with Mayor’s Raffle sponsored by Lovell and Champagne Reception sponsored by GLL-Better.
Nominations will close on 20 September 2023.
