Better Bankside boosts communications team

Business Improvement District (BID) Better Bankside has appointed Phoebe Croft to its communications team, supporting the delivery of communications that promote the Bankside area and the wide range of events, services and resources available to its members.

Phoebe’s role encompasses Better Bankside’s newsletters, its website and social media channels, helping businesses, employees and residents stay connected to what is happening across the neighbourhood and to understand how they can benefit and get involved.

She joins Better Bankside at an exciting time, with the BID delivering a diverse programme of projects spanning placemaking, sustainability, culture and Bankside brand positioning work. Better Bankside is in the middle of a new 5-year term, delivering an ambitious strategy to make Bankside a greener, stronger and happier place in which to work, live and visit.

Of her appointment, Phoebe said: “I’m really excited to join the Better Bankside team and get involved with the diverse range of projects happening across the neighbourhood. I’m especially looking forward to exploring how placemaking and community engagement can go hand in hand to foster and cultivate a neighbourhood that people genuinely love to be in.

I’m looking forward to sharing the many opportunities available across the area and helping more business members and residents to connect with and participate in Better Bankside’s work.”

Before joining Better Bankside, Phoebe worked in the environmental sector, delivering communications, social media and events projects.

Nicole Gordon, CEO of Better Bankside, said: “We are delighted to welcome Phoebe to Better Bankside. Her experience across communications, events and environmental initiatives, together with her enthusiasm for community engagement, makes her a great addition to the team.”
