Birra Moretti launches ‘Deliver-A-Nonna’, a unique Italian in-home cooking service in London

Brits looking for their very own home-cooked Italian meal need look no further, with the launch of Deliver-A-Nonna – a truly one-of-its-kind delivery service.

Italian food may be a favourite staple of the UK diet, but our increasingly busy lives mean most of us rarely get to celebrate long suppers in true continental style. Luckily, Birra Moretti is on hand for friends and families looking for more memorable meet-ups this summer, offering members of the public the unique chance to have a feast prepared and served in their own home, by a real Italian Nonna1.

As part of Birra Moretti’s mission to bring more people together around tables in 2019, Deliver-A-Nonna will operate between Monday 22nd to Saturday 27th July, where lucky diners will be able to share an Italian banquet, of which recipes have been passed down through generations, with friends or family.

Packing everything they need to create the most authentic Italian home cooking experience, nifty Nonne will turn fresh and sustainably sourced ingredients into delicious three-course meals, serving each course to guests at their own dinner tables. Courses will include Nonna Celia’s Freshly Baked Garlic Focaccia and Beef Fillet and Rocket Salad, Nonna Romana’s, homemade Gnocchi with Fresh Tomato Sauce and Nonna Teresa’s, Uova Alla Piemontese and Truffle Risotto.

For aspiring chefs, the knowledgeable Nonne will also be on hand to share traditional skills and best kept secrets during the evening, to help guests recreate the dishes for themselves at home in the future.

Spokesperson for Birra Moretti, Brand Unit Director Izabela Glodek, said“Who wouldn’t love a home cooked, Italian meal, served in the comfort of their own home?! Our team of Nonne will be ready and waiting to jump in to their Moretti motors and head to people’s houses to cook up a storm this July. Our knowledgeable Nonne will not only provide a delicious feast but also pass on valuable skills and recipes that have been around for generations – inspiring people to get together for home cooked meals around the dinner table more often.”

Nonna Romana, said: “Every single Sunday my family get together around the dining table for an Italian feast. It’s so important to me to keep these traditions alive and I hope the Deliver A Nonna service will help encourage other families to make it their weekly ritual too.”

Nonna Celia, commented: “There is nothing better than sharing recipes and cooking with friends and family. I’m ready to teach generations to come my Italian culture and cooking secrets, in the hope they will share with their family and friends.”

Nonna Teresa, added: “Dinner time is at the heart of Italian culture and it’s a passion of mine to bring this culture into UK households. I’m looking forward to getting people around tables to enjoy my home cooking!”
