BLUE TIT OPENS NEW SALON IN FOREST HILL THIS MONTH

Blue Tit, London’s favourite sustainable salon collective, is proud to announce the launch of its fourteenth location in Forest Hill. Nestled on the buzzing Dartmouth Road, the new salon expands Blue Tit’s presence in South East London, and reaffirms the brand’s commitment to delivering exceptional service and beautiful hair for all, within unique and inspiring spaces.

This latest opening marks another milestone in Blue Tit’s journey and is more than just a new salon – it’s a celebration of creativity, community and collaboration. The Blue Tit Forest Hill salon will be led by a dynamic team of long-standing Blue Tit talent and exciting new arrivals, blending expert craftsmanship and expertise with fresh perspectives, to create a welcoming environment that reflects the spirit of the neighbourhood.

Leading the team is Kate Shaw, Salon Manager and Stylist, who has grown through Blue Tit’s leadership development programme after honing her skills at the Streatham salon. Joining her is Tom Warr, Creative Director and proud Forest Hill local, who will balance his time between styling and leading creative projects across the collective and academy.

Also on the team is Sarah Maretto, who began her journey with Blue Tit as an apprentice and is now nearing full qualification, and Lucia Thittichai, a talented new stylist from a renowned Brighton salon. Together, they bring passion, creativity and individuality to the salon floor. The new salon will offer the extensive Blue Tit service list, welcoming both loyal clients and new faces from the area.

The salon interior, designed in collaboration with acclaimed design studio Studionlm, channels bold 1980s energy with an Art Deco twist. Expect vibrant textures and rich colours, seamlessly woven into a stylish, uplifting atmosphere. Blue Tit’s long-time creative partners Opulence brought the vision to life, ensuring every detail was executed with care and purpose.

Blue Tit London Founders, Mathew Gebbie and Andi Hinteregger explain: “Whenever we open a new Blue Tit London salon, we always turn to our team and our clients to see where they feel we should be next. Forest Hill came up time and time again, and it just felt right.

It’s where our Creative Director, Tom Warr, grew up and still lives, so there’s a strong personal connection, and it’s a neighbourhood with a proper community spirit. We’re so excited to open our doors and can’t wait to welcome everyone in”
With its inclusive ethos, commitment to all hair types, and focus on self-expression and individuality, Blue Tit Forest Hill is set to become a new creative hub for South East London.
