Brick Lane is getting it’s very own Oktoberfest
Set over three days, Brick Lane Bier Fest will host over 1000 people in a cavernous beer hall just off Brick Lane, East London. The 7,000 sqft space will pack all the premium quality Munich lager any self respecting beer drinker could expect alongside a bespoke cocktail bar serving up those late-night tipples. As with any Oktoberfest celebration, entertainment will make or break the day. Being One of East London’s largest and most creative, Brick Lane Bier Fest will have it in spades. Punters can expect some of the finest live music, comedy, drag performances and DJ’s East London can muster for an all out beer fuelled celebration. Running across the Halloween weekend from Friday 29th to Sunday 31st October, the team is expecting some Bavarian themed ghosts, ghouls and vampires but first and foremost it’s about the fun. Brick Lane Bier Fest is London’s brand new go to Oktoberfest that offers something different from the norm.
Created from the team behind Cafe 1001, Brick Lane Bier Fest have lined up some cracking entertainment for the weekend. The event will be hosted by the furiously funny Eva Von Schnippisch. Her über quick wit, razor sharp tongue and belting voice make the Weimar vixen the perfect bier fest host! Live music comes from Freddie and the Freeloaders who regularly play at Glastonbury Festival and have also featured at Hyde Park BST Festival & The Royal Albert Hall, known for funk, soul and party anthems to get you up off your seats. Drag star Tiana Biscuit is sure to glam up Bier Fest with her Halloqueens. DJ’s will also be on hand to quickly fill any void left between sets with all the classic party bangers we hate to sing along to.
Chris Stemp, Event Manager at Brick Lane Tap Room says “As it’s our first Bier Fest event, we’ve gone all out to prove a point to the naysayers. The massive space will get a full makeover and be transformed to the point of unrecognisable. We’ll be mixing that traditional Oktoberfest style with a UK festival feel featuring a hop themed bar and plenty of photo opps for the gram. If you’re looking for an Oktoberfest that’s new and exciting, look no further. You’ve found it!”
There will also be plenty of food options on hand to soak up all the extra liquid featuring amazing bratwurst and burgers with veggie and vegan options available.
The new kid on the block in terms of Oktoberfest celebrations but the team behind have the years of experience that prove they know how to put on a good party. Bringing some of that East London charm to a tried and tested concept will provide some fantastic variety to all the other options on the table.
