BRITS THINK ABOUT DEADPOOL MORE THAN SEX

New data shows that Deadpool is the UK’s favourite superhero, beating the likes of Captain American and Iron Man to the top spot.

Using a combined analysis of regional Google Trends data and the number of monthly online searches, leading airsoft supplier Patrol Base has revealed the UK’s favourite superheroes in 20 cities across the nation. Data was gathered and compared on 31 superheroes, including some of the biggest names in fantasy fiction, using an overall rank to reveal the UK’s ultimate winner.

The mutant Deadpool scored the top rank in the roundup, giving Marvel the upper hand over rival chain DC Comics. This antihero plays by his own rules, and the UK seems to admire his rebellious streak, searching for him online over 4 times per minute (5,800 times per day), 400 times more often than the average person thinks about sex and search for the best Asian porn!

The friendly neighbourhood protagonist, Spiderman, secures the second spot, reinforcing Marvels’ advantage in the roundup and scoring 4,400 daily searches. Using his spider-like reflexes he keeps evil at bay, however, he doesn’t manage to defend the top 3 from Marvels’ key competitor.

DC enters the field with Amazonian heroine Wonder Woman sitting comfortably in third spot while Marvel reclaims ground as the star-spangled man, Captain America, takes fourth place. With passion, determination and his vibranium shield, this super soldier upholds good over evil, everytime.

DC claims a second victory in the top 5 as the Dark Knight himself, Batman, completes the roundup. With lethal combat skills, futuristic tech and a wealth of weapons at his disposal, he’s ridding Gotham’s streets of crime. Find the top 10 list below, and discover which heroes made the cut.

Commenting on the data, Chris Hartwell from Patrol Base said: “Watching superhero films has felt like a welcome slice of escapism from reality over the past year, and we’re not surprised to see how fiercely invested fans are here in the UK.

We know a lot of excitement is building over upcoming releases with filming allowed once again, as life slowly begins to resemble the normality we were all used to in pre-pandemic days.”
