BROTHER MARCUS TO OPEN IN BOROUGH YARDS IN SPRING 2022
Brother Marcus has today announced it will open a new location in Borough Yards, the large-scale new shopping and dining district in London Bridge.
Known for their small plates and as one of the best brunch spots in London, Brother Marcus is bringing the flavours and recipes of the Eastern Mediterranean to Borough Yards with their third restaurant. Serving brunch in the mornings, and sharing plates in the evenings, diners will enjoy the restaurant’s classic dishes alongside signature cocktails and wine when it opens in Spring 2022.
Set within a 2,000 sqft space and seating 106 guests, Brother Marcus will join over 50 shops and restaurants in Borough Yards, a series of reimagined Victorian brick railway arches, viaducts and warehouses.
Inspired by its surroundings and heritage, the space will merge the industrial setting with the restaurant’s classic Mediterranean aesthetic, with stonewashed walls, hanging lights and lanterns, and rattan furniture. Vibrant green planting will fill the space, surrounding an open kitchen area and outdoor seating will also be available.
With some of London’s best food suppliers on their doorstep, the Eastern Mediterranean-inspired menu will be bolstered by products bought from local vendors at the neighbouring Borough Market. Serving up their well-loved menu, Brother Marcus Borough Yards will also have a selection of exclusive dishes as well as a robata grill, unique to the new location.
Brother Marcus was founded by three best friends, Arthur, Alex and Tas, with the aim of bringing Eastern Mediterranean flavours and recipes to London. Having travelled the region extensively to experience the food, drink and culture first-hand, and using recipes passed down from Tas’ Cretan ancestors, Brother Marcus brings an authentic and delicious experience to their customers.
“We are very excited about this new project especially opening so close to one of London’s oldest and most renowned food markets, and can’t wait to use all the fresh produce from the market in our dishes. Having opened our first Brother Marcus restaurant south of the river it’s nice to be back.” Tas, Director and co-founder
Brother Marcus joins Harts Group, Paul Smith, Butchies, Everyman Cinema, Vinoteca and The Office Group in moving to Borough Yards, one of the most exciting and unique developments in London. A large-scale cultural, working, dining and shopping district, Borough Yards is based in and around a series of restored and reconceived railway arches, marking a new chapter for Southwark and the wider Borough Market area.
