Calling All Podcasters: Elevate Your Podcasting Journey with Roundhouse’s Talent Development Programme

Roundhouse’s award-winning audio platform, Transmission Roundhouse, is on the look-out for the next generation of podcasters who have an idea they want to get off the ground, with applications now open until 8 April.
Designed to champion underrepresented voices, the Transmission Roundhouse Podcast Academy takes on a yearly cohort of talented individuals aged 18-25, from total beginners to seasoned pros.
Through a series of immersive learning and mentoring opportunities, podcasters will develop their series alongside the Roundhouse’s internal producers, all the while becoming ingrained in the vibrant audio production community.
Previous Transmission Roundhouse podcasters have gone on to be nominated for, and win, a host of awards. Talia Augustidis won Bronze Rising Star at the British Podcast Awards for her podcast UnReality, and Marnie Woodmeade won the International Women’s Podcast Award for Changing The World One Moment At A Time and Best Educational Podcast at the Independent Podcast Awards for her podcast, Dwelling. Cherise Hamilton-Stephenson won Gold for The Creativity Award and Bronze for Best Current Affairs at the British Podcast Awards for her podcast, Interconnected Voices.
Transmission Roundhouse also has a brand-new home in the recently opened Roundhouse Works, a creative centre for 18-30 year-olds who want to turn their creativity into a career.
Though renowned as a legendary venue, Roundhouse has also been one of London’s leading creative centres for young people for the past 20 years. They currently work with over 8,000 young people aged 11-30 in state-of-the-art studios at the venue in Camden, offering music, performing arts, digital and broadcast projects and professional opportunities.
Be sure to apply for the Transmission Roundhouse Podcast Academy before midday, 8 April. Applicants must be aged between 18-25. To apply, visit www.roundhouse.org.uk/whats-on/transmission-roundhouse-podcast-academy-summer24.
