CAMBRIDGESHIRE HOMEBUILDER TO HOST PARENT POWER EVENT FOR FIRST TIME BUYERS

Barratt Homes is hosting an event for house hunters in Cambridgeshire this Saturday 9th September at its Whittlesey Lakeside development in Whittlesey.

The Parent Power Plus Event will allow those looking to make the step on to the property ladder to learn more about the developer’s Parent Power scheme.

As part of the scheme, the developer could match a buyer’s deposit up to 5% of the purchase price. The scheme also sees parents or close family members act as mortgage guarantors or as a joint loan applicant, which could enable first time buyers to borrow more money, and bring property prices within reach.

Will Phair, Sales Director at Barratt Homes Cambridgeshire, said: “Our Whittlesey Lakeside development is ideal for those looking to make the step on to the property ladder with a range two, three and four bedroom homes available.

“With schemes such as Parent Power, alongside the development’s location to an abundance of amenities, we are expecting the homes to be snapped up quickly. We recommend anyone interested in moving to come to our Parent Power Plus event to find out more.”

Charlie Rey-Padgett and her partner recently purchased their first home together at Whittlesey Lakeside and are now benefiting from the development’s amenities.

She said: “There’s a lot to do right on the doorstep, and this really appealed to me. The local area is lovely, it’s only a short drive away from the town centre which has a wide range of amenities. As well as this, it has a lot of dog walking routes and activities to keep me busy.”

Whittlesey Lakeside gives residents the chance to live in a countryside location with the vibrant market town of Whittlesey on the doorstep.

Whittlesey itself offers schooling options for all ages, a doctor’s surgery, post office, butchers and a selection of independent shops, pubs and restaurants. An Aldi supermarket is also now open at the development.

Working professionals can rest assured with the development providing easy access to major towns and cities in the area including Peterborough and Cambridge.
