Cancer support over Christmas - London TV

Cancer support over Christmas

For people living with cancer, the festive season can be a difficult time, which is why Macmillan Cancer Support is here to offer advice, support or a chat whenever people need it.

Macmillan’s support line is open 365 days a year between 8am and 8pm so that anyone affected by cancer can call the freephone number – 0808 808 00 00 – and speak to someone when they need it most.

Emma Tingley, head of partnerships for Macmillan Cancer Support in the East of England said: “It might be Christmas, but that won’t stop us doing whatever it takes to help ease people’s concerns.

“Many people with cancer will be worried about how to enjoy the festive season when they are feeling unwell or are anxious about managing cancer’s financial impact during the cost of living crisis.

“Thanks to our fantastic supporters, Macmillan is here to do whatever it takes to support people with cancer and their loved ones all year round so please turn to us if you need us.”

As well as the support line, the charity’s website, macmillan.org.uk has a wealth of information and a brilliant online community, where people can meet virtually to chat, share experiences and ask and answer questions.

People can call the Macmillan Support Line for free on 0808 808 00 00.
