CAPTAIN BIRDS EYE LAUNCHES BEARD KIT TO GET BRITS LOOKING SHIPSHAPE
2020 has seen many people turn to new personal care routines, with nearly a quarter (22%) of Brits spending more time on their regime during lockdown, and almost a third (31%) of men using time away from the office as a chance to experiment with a new beard or moustache .
Instantly recognisable by his signature facial hair, Captain Birds Eye has launched a limited-edition Shipshape Beard Kit to help men maintain their newly grown ‘lockdown beards’. Following the success of Captain Birds Eye’s first signature fragrance, AHOY!, last Christmas, the beard kit is an ideal stocking filler this Christmas.
Produced in partnership with leading men’s cosmetic and gifting brand, Men’s Society, Captain Birds Eye’s Shipshape Beard Kit is made entirely from fresh, natural ingredients and uses fully recyclable packaging too.
Originally suggested by fans of Captain Birds Eye, the kit includes all the essential products needed to keep the bearded man in your life looking ruggedly handsome, just like the Captain himself. It comprises of:
- Beard wash to help clean facial hair while hydrating the skin underneath, using cleansing citrus fruits and moisturising coconut oil
- Beard oil containing a mixture of citrus and ginger to soften the hairs and invigorate the skin
- A beard comb providing the perfect tool to control those stray hairs
- Styling wax combining beeswax and coconut oil for a firm finish
Contained within a compact, on-the-go tin, the kit will help you achieve an immaculate look just like the Captain.
Annalisa Fanali, Birds Eye spokesperson, said: “This year has seen the arrival of new personal care rituals, with men in particular using lockdown to try out some different facial hair looks. Having sported his iconic beard for over fifty years, Captain Birds Eye’s facial hair has become one of the most celebrated and distinctive styles in the UK. So it made complete sense to launch a kit to help the nation get their facial hair into shipshape condition this Christmas!”
Bella Middleton, Co-founder of Men’s Society, said: “Men have always prided themselves on their facial hair for an ideal masculine and mature look, but there’s more to growing a beard than not shaving. Captain Birds Eye is the epitome of a ruggedly handsome figure, who takes care of his beard – we’re delighted to help him bring his beard kit to the nation so they too can look as sharp as he does”.
