Well, almost… Caran d’Ache – in collaboration with Nespresso – have produced a new limited edition of their classic 849 pen made using the aluminium from recycled capsules

The 849 ballpoint is a coolly understated design classic. This retractable biro is regularly reinvented by the Swiss firm in the form of special and limited editions. This time, it’s been recycled!

An exclusive alloy using the aluminium from the Nespresso capsules has been created in order to meet this superb writing instrument’s quality requirements, and the ‘Darkhan’ capsule was chosen to lend its dark slate blue colour to the slender aluminium barrel.
