Caravan Coffee Roasters & La Gelatiera are giving away FREE Affogatos in London this National Ice Cream Day

Caravan, the pioneers of all-day dining and craft coffee, have teamed up with La Gelatiera, London’s hotspot for high-end Italian gelato, to celebrate the launch of Caravan’s great tasting and planet-friendly new coffee pods, with a trio of irresistible affogatos.

Available for the weekend of National Ice Cream Day, across both Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th July, Londoners looking for a cooling treat can try out not just one, but three limited-edition affogatos for FREE at King Cross.

All you need to do is head down to Battle Bridge Place at King’s Cross, find the Caravan Coffee Van (you won’t miss us!) and get stuck in. The first 50 affogatos served each day also come with a sample of Caravan Coffee Roasters’ brand new coffee pods, so you can enjoy great tasting Caravan coffee at the push of a button at home afterwards too. But be quick – once they’re gone, they’re gone!

All three affogatos on offer have been expertly crafted to delight the taste buds, using Caravan’s coffee know-how and La Gelatiera’s award-winning artisan ice cream. Here’s what’s on offer…

The Decaf Classic Affogato

Sometimes the classics are all you need. This traditional affogato serve combines the classic chocolate brownie and maple syrup flavour profile of Caravan’s Risaralda Decaf paired with La Gelatiera’s Vanilla Mananara ice cream, which has a creamy, moreishly smooth flavour and is made with the best vanilla pods from Madagascar. A perfect recipe to recreate for an after dinner affogato.

The Daily & Cardamom Affogato

If you’re looking to push the flavour boundaries then this is the affogato for you. The notes of dark chocolate, baking spice and toffee apple in Caravan’s The Daily Pod are perfectly complemented by the subtle warmth and spice of La Gelatiera’s brand new cardamom ice cream, for an indulgent take on the affogato. Finished off with whipped cream, caramel sauce and a sprinkle of cardamom dust, this is one you won’t want to miss out on.

The Market Vegan Affogato

One for all our plant-based friends, this deliciously adult take on an affogato balances the fruity acidity of Caravan’s Organic Market Blend with La Gelatiera’s ever-popular Vegan Dark Chocolate for a flavour sensation. Good coffee is for everyone!

All the affogatos will be available as a decaf option if preferred, and Caravan will be sampling coffee pod iced lattes too.
