The green-fingered members of the Pittsmead Grange Gardening Club in Hayes are celebrating after their latest gardening adventure produced a bumper crop of something truly special – a collection of wonderfully cute carrots.
After months of careful planting, watering, weeding and plenty of encouraging word whispering towards the soil, the clubs hard work has finally paid off. The cheerful gardeners were delighted to discover their home grown harvest, with each carrot, showing off it’s own unique shape, size and personality.
Some carrots may be perfectly straight, but ours have character, just like us” said Sue, a very proud resident. “They may be a little quirky, but we think they’re absolutely brilliant”
The crop of vegetables have become the talk of Pittsmead Grange, with the residents admiring the colourful collection of home grown heroes.
The Club is already looking forward to future planting projects and hopes their next harvest will be just as delightful.
