Caudwell Collection announces strong mid-year sales review
Caudwell Collection announces its mid-year sales review for its South of France development, Parc du Cap, showing positive signs despite pandemic challenges. The luxury British property developer confirms it has sold a total of eight apartments in 2020 so far, with a further five under offer. Unsurprisingly, 75% of residences sold or under offer are garden apartments, some with private pools. Caudwell has also observed a surge in international buyers.
During lockdown, Caudwell introduced new measures to overcome travel restrictions and aid the sales process, including virtual tours, digital signing of notarial deeds, and webinars. As a result, in the first half of 2020, the Parc du Cap sales team has closed a total of eight apartment deals. The majority of these have been two-bed apartments with private gardens, and there are a further five under offer. This goes to show important it is to keep business going by utilizing digital resources for informative uses. Tapping into virtual tours and webinars with the help of a presentation designer as well as other similar resources can help a business like this continue what they need to but with an online space.
Out of the total 13 Parc du Cap apartments sold or under offer in 2020, 10 have had gardens, demonstrating the increasing desire for owners to have outdoor space. Caudwell has also observed a surge in the breadth of buyer nationalities, with international regions including Germany, Cyprus, Kuwait, CIS, Russia, Latvia, Ukraine, Britain and France.
Reynald Lapitz, CEO of Provençal Investments (the French subsidiary of Caudwell), comments: “We’re thrilled to see such a robust sales review at the mid-point of what has been a tricky year for everyone so far. The Caudwell sales team quickly adapted to digital ways of working and has been non-stop throughout lockdown and beyond, which is demonstrated in our results. I think this extremely challenging situation has made everyone reassess what is important – family time together, outdoor space, natural beauty which we’re blessed with in the Côte d’Azur – so we hope the positive sales trend will continue as travel restrictions continue to ease.”
Since the end of lockdown in France, Caudwell has had an increase in requests for apartment extensions, as Parc du Cap owners seek more spacious holiday abodes to accommodate their families. The property developer is accommodating these requests by combining existing owners’ residences with available neighbouring apartments. The conversions mean Caudwell is now able to offer additional three-bedroom apartments; all of this particular type of unit had previously sold out.
Parc du Cap is one of the most luxurious property developments located in the exclusive yachting community of Cap d’Antibes, Southern France. Set within beautiful landscaped gardens surrounding an outdoor swimming pool, the real estate comprises of a selection of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments as well as four-bedroom penthouses with private rooftop pools and spectacular terraces with panoramic views.
Parc du Cap is a gated development and comes with 24-hour security, secure underground car parking and a 24/7 concierge service. Properties start from €590,000 for a one-bed apartment, €850,000 for a two-bed and €4,500,000 for a four-bed penthouse.
