London is set for a deliciously different summer event as executive vegan pastry chef Danielle Maupertuis celebrates the launch of her new cookbook, VEGANISSIMA, with an exclusive afternoon launch event overlooking the Thames on Sunday 2 August.
Set at the Clipper Lounge Embankment, a unique floating riverside venue with panoramic Thames views, the event will bring together media, influencers, invited guests and vegan food lovers for an elegant afternoon inspired by the book’s stunning recipes.
Guests are set enjoy sweet and savoury vegan canapés inspired by VEGANISSIMA , a welcome drink, live music from members of Steel Pan in Motion, special surprises and a complimentary signed copy of the book.
The book features a foreword by vegan advocate Heather Mills and showcases Danielle’s distinctive approach which avoids using all animal products.
VEGANISSIMA is Danielle’s second book and follows her acclaimed debut book, Vegans Deserve Better Than a Fruit Salad. The new book explores fine dining vegan and gluten free afternoon tea recipes as well as celebratory recipes, from delicate tartlets and showstopping cakes to inventive plant based savoury creations.
Known for her decades of experience in five star hotels and restaurants worldwide, Danielle has built a reputation for proving plant-based pâtisserie can be every bit as beautiful and indulgent as traditional pastry.
The launch event brings her philosophy to life.
